Staffordshire blue in a slate-toned variant, smooth faced, perforated and selected to facing quality. The slate cast reads slightly greyer and less inky than a standard blue, which some prefer where the brickwork is on show rather than buried below ground. Commonly used for plinths, string courses and contrast banding as well as general engineering work.
