We stock two paving materials, and they suit different priorities rather than one simply being better. Porcelain paving is a manufactured, vitrified product — 20mm thick, R11 anti-slip, and effectively maintenance free once laid. Indian sandstone is a genuine natural stone, hand-cut or calibrated, with the colour variation and character that only real stone has.

Both are delivered free to any UK mainland address, and both are available as free samples before you commit to a full order — worth doing regardless of which you choose, since colour reads very differently outdoors than on a screen.

Choosing the Right Paving for Your Project

Modern extension, bifold doors, low-maintenance garden: porcelain in a grey or anthracite tone is the default choice for good reason — consistent colour, no sealing, and it looks the same in ten years as it does on day one.

Period property, cottage garden, or you want a patio that looks like it's always been there: Indian sandstone's natural variation and riven texture does something porcelain can't replicate. Kandla Grey and Raj Green are the two most popular starting points.
