Camel Dust Sandstone

Soft desert tones of sand, taupe and pale caramel, warmed here and there by apricot and a hint of dusky mauve. It's the most understated of the warm sandstones, with fine grained banding that reads as texture rather than pattern and a palette that stays calm across a large expanse. The riven surface is unusually even, giving a smooth looking terrace that still has natural character underfoot. A quiet, sophisticated choice for courtyards, dining terraces and gardens where the paving should recede and the planting should speak.

Will every slab look the same?

No, though Camel Dust is more consistent than most Indian sandstones. Expect a gentle drift from pale sand to deeper caramel, with occasional stronger apricot pieces. A dry lay before fixing lets you place those where you want them.

Does it need sealing?

Recommended. The stone is porous and moderately stain resistant on its own, so a breathable impregnating sealer applied a few weeks after laying will protect against grease, tannin and algae. A colour enhancing sealer warms the caramels without darkening the overall tone much.

Is it slip resistant?

Yes. The riven face is split along the stone's natural bedding plane, leaving a lightly textured surface that holds grip when wet
