Yellow Mint Sandstone

Soft buttermilk and pale gold, threaded with quiet apricot and the faintest grey where the seam turns. Warmer than Fossil Mint but still restrained, it brings light into a garden without tipping into brassiness. The sawn face gives a smooth, close grained surface, and the crisp machine cut edges allow tight joints and a clean geometry that suits contemporary terraces, level thresholds and pale render. Colours deepen noticeably when wet, so expect the golds to come forward after rain.

FAQs

Will every slab look the same?

No. Tone ranges from near cream through to warmer honey, with occasional apricot banding. Lay them out dry first and distribute the stronger pieces evenly rather than letting them group.

Does it need sealing?

Recommended. A smooth sawn face is easier to wipe clean than a riven one, but the stone is still porous, so a breathable impregnating sealer applied a few weeks after laying will resist grease, tannin and algae.

Is it slip resistant?

Yes, though less textured than a riven finish. The sawn surface is honed rather than polished and holds reasonable grip when wet. For shaded or sloping areas, or anywhere near a pool, a shot blasted finish is the safer specification.
